A/D

Keeps a cumulative total of each bar's volume weighted by where the close falls within the high-low range. A rising line signals accumulation (buying); a falling line signals distribution (selling).

Tips

A/D line trending up while price moves sideways suggests hidden accumulation and a potential upside breakout

Unlike OBV, A/D weights volume by close position in the bar's range, making it more sensitive to intrabar buying/selling pressure
